Would anyone be interested? no specific date, or place just getting feel for interest. I thought the Cape Cod Canal would be nice. I’m not sure what the rules are there, but it would be nice if we could grill at whatever location.

I’d try my best to make that, but it’d be best if you can manage at least a month’s notice. May-June, before all the tourists start swarming.

thats fine by me. the tourists is probably the best reason not to do the canal, altho if we’re not trying to get over the bridge it probably wont be that bad.

I think he did it that way because Chicago is “middle-ish” in the country...Because it would totes suck for it to be in like NYC...and you’re an Oppo from California. So Chicago seems fair enough. I mean, we COULD have two or more OppoMeets for those who can’t/won’t drive that far.

It would be newt to reach out to the factory 5 guys, they’re in wareham, last exit before the bridge, maybe we could meet up for a tour of the factory, and then go somewhere for lunch? The clam shack in falmouth is nationally rated or ranked or something, and they have enough room to park 10+ cars on any given day even during peak hours, there’s an awesome road that goes out to woods hole from there as well, with plenty of places right on the water for pictures. I’ve got a couple friends who’d most likely be willing to join as well, and for cars, I’ve got my 325it, my friend has a B6 Avant and I have another friend with a B5 Avant. Mike, my friend with the B6 would more than likely be able to come, but let me know on a date, I think this would be a really cool thing to do.

I mean is an awesome idea but with two 3 year olds it’s not feasible. I’m thinking more of a day thing.

I coincidentally have next week off of work. Other than that I usually have Wednesdays off and could definitely make a trip over to the mainland for that.

Nope but I know they give 9 am and 10 am factory tours on the weekends, you just have to sign up for them online
